Building Expansion Updates

Renton Bible has begun the process of expanding our facilities for the sake of furthering the ministries of this body and, most importanly, the Kingdom of Christ in our community.  We give thanks for the sacrificial giving which enables us to begin construction.  For more information or if you would like to use your gifts to help with this project, either financially or physically, contact us

UPDATES

5/7 Yesterday and today have been devoted to "potholing" -- digging holes in and near the street to find out what we will need to do to tie into the city's water and storm drain.  Tomorrow, 5/8, Dan Charles will be meeting with our contractors to determine the best course to take in view of their findings.  Pray that cost effective solutions can be found and approved by the city.  (Most likely there will be a break in construction for at least the next few days until these decisions can be made.)

5/5  We give thanks to God that the preconstruction meeting with the city of Renton this morning went well.  Our contractors have already been to our church today and will hopefully begin doing some digging in the street tomorrow (5/6).  Parking for church events should not be significantly impacted at this point.  Please pray that this work will go smoothly and that the permit for the water detention vault will be approved quickly.

5/1  A preconstruction meeting is planned with the city, our architects and a few of our church leaders for Monday, 5/5.  Please pray for this meeting.  If the meeting goes well, we will begin digging in the street on Tuesday, 5/6.

4/27 We celebrated the groundbreaking for the first part of phase one of our building expansion.  This initial work covers all of the ground preparation for our expansion, including an underground retention vault for water run-off and a water line that will go all the way around our church.  With the completion of the underground work, we will move to paving the parking lot (no more gravel potholes) and landscaping.  We look for work to begin the first full week of May.
